Assertive Communication

Please contact us if you would like to learn more about one or several of these options.

The word assertiveness is used to describe a certain pattern of behaviour or a style of communicating with others. By being more assertive you can improve your sense of identity, your confidence and your self esteem. This one-day workshop is aimed at people who are looking for ways to communicate more effectively in relationships or cope with unreasonable demands made by others.

Assertive behaviour and communication is a learnt skill which then needs to be put into practice. We are not taught this when we are children because as a child we do not have the 'rights' that adults do. As a teenager and adult we can have clearer boundaries, can say no, and have a right to be really heard. This course explores assertiveness and teaches new ways of communicating, which may be used in any environment. It calls for understanding that everyone has equal rights to state their own point of view and therefore calm confident negotiation with respect for all hopes to achieve a 'win / win' outcome.

This course is held over 2 days one week apart - For a minimum of 6 people
The charge is usually £100 - £150 per person - Depending on venue
